Fellowship
Trained Surgeon – Dr. Kamal is a fellowship
trained refractive surgery specialist who brings a rich
academic background to Nationwide Vision. After medical
school Dr. Kamal did two residencies, one in Neurology
and the other in Ophthalmology, both at the prominent
Westchester Medical Center. He excelled in both residency
programs and was honored by being named Chief Resident
in each. Upon completion of his residencies, Dr. Kamal
extended his training with three very prestigious fellowships.
The result of this extensive training is such that Dr.
Kamal has been involved in a variety of research activities
and has authored numerous articles on refractive surgery.

farsightedness and astigmatism and are not limited to
one type of laser technology. LASIK, PRK, and Lensectomy
are offered to our patients therefore many refractive
surgery options are available to them.
